This is a compilation of photographs that demonstrate the unusually varied aspects of this Renaissance Man. Dr. Nissenbaum was a person who felt at ease both with learned physicians discussing the complexity of patient care and local handymen discussing how to fix a clogged drain. He dedicated himself to pursuits of the intellect, without losing sight of the practical world around him.

Lake Placid

Dr. and Mrs. Nissenbaum courted as counselors at an overnight camp in Lake Placid. They enjoyed returning to that venue in later years.

Dr. Nissenbaum was water front director of Camp Chipinaw. His bride to be, Sylvia Sinakin, visited him there in 1957.

2000 Liberty Award

In 2000, Dr. and Mrs. Nissenbaum attended the Liberty Awards Dinner at which he was one of the honored recipients.
